The Flow of Kimono Rental

We will guide you through the process from reservation to your visit.
We look forward to welcoming you!

  1. Reservation

    Reservation are accepted online up to one month in advance.
    If you would like to make a reservation on the day of your visit, please contuct us by phone.
    At that time, we will ask for the following information:

    • Date and Time of your visit
    • Name
    • Gender
    • Number of guests
    • Whether you would like a hairstyling service
    • Phone number

    Important Information for Your Visit

  2. Arrival

    Please arrive by your reserved time.
    We provide all the items necessary for dressing in kimono, such as undergarments (hadajuban), tabi, zori, and a bag.
    Please finish your makeup before you arrive. (Applying makeup inside the store is not permitted.)
    At the reception, you can choose your kimono plan and then pick your favorite kimono.
    Female guests will change on the second floor, while male guests will change on the first floor.The changing spaces are shared (not private), so we recommend wearing a light inner like a camisole under your clothes.
    There are specific guidelines regarding undergarments depending on the season. Please refer to the"Important Information for Your Visit" in advance.

  3. Dressing & Hair Styling

    Experienced dressers provide a stable and comfortable dressing.
    The dressing and hairstyling process take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    Hair stylists will help you choose your hair style based on your preferences.
    Hairstyles can be completed in about 15 minutes.

  4. Commemorative Photo

    After getting dressed, you can take photos in front of our store.
    Seasonal flowers, masks, and other photo props are availble free of charge for your shoot.
    For your stroll, we also offer optonal itemssuch as umbrellas and comfortable tabi pumps.
    Photos will only be shared on out "Customer Photo Gallery" if you give us permission.

    Enjoy strolling through Kyoto in a one-of-a-kind kimono with charming accessories.

    Please return to the store by the following time:

    • irodorikyoto Kiyomizu Oku：6:30pm
    • ※If you return later than the designated time, a late return fee will be charged (from 3,300 JPY per person, tax included)
